OK, I'm with you. I joined in 2023 when I was looking to join the ranks of Lexus owners. I spent 6 months searching for used ES350's, until I decided an LS was more in line with the driving and ownership experience I was looking for. I asked for opinions on one used model from the forum as my first post, decided not to get that one, and ultimately bought a 2017, with 69,500 miles on it for $36,500 from a small used car lot in Costa Mesa, California. Two years later, my only second-thought is I wish I'd waited for a silver car instead of the "Eminent Pearl White" I got instead.

One thing you might find helpful before you buy a Lexus: Lexus corporation keeps a record for the owners to access, of all the maintenance and repair a Lexus has had (at least if it was performed by a Lexus dealer). You just go to the Lexus site and enter the car's VIN. (When I entered my VIN, for example, it told me my car had a new battery installed in 2022, a brake fluid flush about the same time, and some other useful information).

Welcome to the site of the "Gentleman's Express", the Lexus LS460!
What ever you consider buying, seriously look at its service history. All exotic brands require routine maintenance. Buying a Lexus Without a solid service history, is asking for expensive trouble in the future.

Which Lexus to Purchase?
Best model & years:
2016-2017 LS460. tightest construction and best handling of this model.
2022-2023 GX460. updated dash and best tuned suspension of this model.

Have one of each--totally satisfied---searched long---will keep forever.

Do you have a source for this or just an opinion? I ask because I've never known any Toyota model to have much if any improvement in the last couple of years of production.

Get PRE PURCHASE INSPECTION at your dealer
This is very important. sometimes the dealer will waive the dollar charge, to encourage you to take car to them for future service.
However, the $100 is well worth it.
I would purchase an extended warranty as well.
make sure it's a Toyota/Lexus warranty from a Toyota/Lexus dealer.
Will cost you @3000-5000 dollars. Peace of mind for sure.
