Peeling Trim!
Peeling Trim!
I posted in the 430 forum as well as this has started happening on both cars. The difference with this one is the brushed look that's under here isn't terrible if I can successfully remove all of it. Is this a replaceable part? It is obviously the Florida sun that is ruining this. Any one else dealt with this?
y 2014. They are replaceable. Its called a drip drain I'm having mine repainted this week. You can buy them already painted. $500 and change with shipping last time I checked., $300 of it is shipping smh
These are drip rail moldings and you will have to completely remove them to color match them
What I've done is just completely peeled them along with the remaining glue so they match the rest of the Chrome moldings on the doors 😊

I just removed all the peeling, polished the metal and it looks fine to me.

It also happens in Italy. Removed all the adhesive film, on both, sanded and painted, passed in the oven and reassembled, for 50 euros. You need two clips 75561-50040 and two 75562-30070, they break during disassembly. The already painted molding 75556-50020-A2 (DX) and 75556-50020-A1(SX) cost between 230 and 280 dollars each, depending on the color.
