I had the same problem when I put on winter tires. I saw the same vid but opted against messing with the OB2 outlet, bought a cheap scanner, turned the steering wheel straight cleared the code. All fixed and less risk imo.
That's cool but i'm not getting any trouble code. The VSC & Traction Off lights are on. My key fob doesn't work either. I have to touch the push button start with the fob to start the car. Can't lock & unlock the doors. I'm truly trying not to go to the dealership. Nobody seems to have any idea what's goin on.
I don't remember the exact thread, but someone else had the VSC/Trac light on the dash after exhausting other avenues - it turned out to be two bad cells in his battery. That might explain the key fob not working as well (as I'm sure you've probably replaced the fob battery by now)
If you've double checked that the fob battery is installed correctly and your scan tool is capable of reading proprietary codes this link might help you, water entry in the trunk is kinda common and causes a few issues. I'm assuming when you get close to your car the led doesn't begin to flash?
