Default C1289, C1391, C13AF, U0123, U0124 Codes

When I ran techstream i have these codes along with dash lights of brake malfunction, vsc and vrgs.

Does anyone know what might be the culprit?

I recently changed my rotors and replaced the interior floor carpet which meant the seats and the paneling had to come all out. I have done this before and never had a problem. I have take car back apart to check all the connections and the wiring harnesses that were under the carpet and nothing seems to be unhooked etc.

This morning I took off tires and inspected to see if I damaged any sensors and everything was good.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Derreck

I also tried after researching on forums to do a linear solenoid valve reset as well as a brake bleeding, both of these FAILED would not even start them.

Thanks

You need to pay attention to U0123 and U0124 first. There is an indication of communication issue which will set VCS codes automatically.

Attempting to do any programming with an eBay or amazon techstream is not a good idea, it's reliable for some simple settings like carista does. If you don't believe me do the cable test in techstream and see what it tells you.
Having said that you should make sure your battery has a solid 12.5-6v nominal charge and load test it with a carbon pile device for best results imo.

I tested battery it was good 12 volts sitting 14volts engine running. I took it to an electrical mechanic shop to figure it out $330 diagnostic to look at it thought it was something either unplugged or bad ecu. Called me a day later said he spent several hours and got most codes cleared but needed more time to the tune of $900 total. I said go ahead, said he would call me the next day. Last night he called me and left msg still couldn't run the Solenoid offset or whatever and would have to wait til monday for his toyota dealer mechanic contact to get back to him.

With a week with this forum and my lexus manuals I could of figured this out eventually. I took it to him because I wanted it done right away.

I guess there's not much you can do now that someone else has the car. It's almost never the ecu...that's a sign that person has no idea what the problem is.

Very rarely, I have replaced less than 20 ever and most of them have been BMW BCMs. The only engine controllers I have had to replace were in two Nissans, one ford, and one OLD Chrysler.

With the exception of a few models like the 400 due to age or whatever caused the caps to fail, yes. When 22RE's first came out in trucks/4runners people were changing ecu's and vane type air flow meters under warranty but that was because they didn't understand them, all that was available then was TE-E1 and paper service manuals because ETAS and a searchable knowledge base didn't exist.

The repair shop got back to me. they said it was the brake actuator assembly & brake booster assembly. they want an additional $2400 on top of the $900 they charged me for diagnosis time

is this a project i can do myself?

While watching videos of the UO123, 124 failures the Yaw Rate Sensor is located under the center console that I took out to replace carpet. Could me monkeying with these set off these codes then throw the whole ABS system into whack throwing off the other codes?

The mechanic got back to me and said the master brake cylinder is leaking and needs to be replaced and he thinks this is the cause, I am scared after paying him $900 to fork out an additional $2800 to replace master break and have the codes still going off.

Thanks for your time
