My driver side headlight goes out after being on for a few minutes. If I cycle it off and back on it will work again for a little while (about 7-15 minutes) then go out again. I then repeat. Is this an electrical issue or a bulb about to fail issue?

 

Test the power at the bulb when it goes out.

 

If you're going to check the voltage at the bulb you might as well replace it, make sure you disconnect the battery before you start taking the front of the inner fender liner down if you're doing this by yourself because the ballast is high voltage. If you have led headlights you need a new assembly.

 

If HID how old are your bulbs? They don't last forever and what you are describing could be lack of salt

Yup. I had mine die after a few minutes recently. Replaced with cheapo bulb from Amazon and flickers for about 5 minutes then fine. Got what I paid for.
