Default Curt Hitch install

Today I installed a Curt 12114 class 2 trailer hitch on my 2017 LS. The install went well. Curt calls it challenging, but it really isn't. A couple of things to be aware of. Two of the bolts holding the underbody panel were badly rusted and stripped. They were both at the far end of the panel so I just left them and dropped the panel down enough to cut it. It might be a good idea to get a few of the push fasteners that hold the underbody panel in place. They get brittle and tend to break. After I popped off the sides of the bumper cover, I put cloths around each side. It's very easy to scratch the car when removing and reinstalling the cover. The electrical connector on the passenger side was difficult to get apart. Not sure why. A Dremel tool will make cutting the underbody panel easier, but it isn't a necessity. Everything else was very straight forward. I downloaded and printed the Curt instructions from their website. The pictures were helpful.

@gordo53 - You posted in an old thread on the 4th Gen GS 350 forum. Since you have a 2017 LS I have asked a moderator to move your post to the correct LS forum as a new thread.

[Edit] I see that your post has been moved the the 4th Gen LS forum as a new thread.
