I'm trying to remove the ignition panel on my 2nd get GS so i can replace the green light with a led. Does anyone know how the top of the panel is attached? I pryed off bottom part with a screwdriver but the top won't move that easily. Do i just have to pull on the panel from the bottom part that i popped out? I did this on my LS but it was a lot easier and the whole panel came off after i pried from the bottom.
hey thanks pete. thats what i was searching for all this time.
Thanks also for the footwell thread. That helped me a lot last year when i was working on my LS
just finished replacing the ignition light with a led. not as easy as i thought tho! the top part of the cover takes some serious force to remove. and i had to use a dremel to shorten the led so it would fit. then putting the led's harness back into the plastic ring thing was pretty tough cuz the harness wire is just barely long enough. it wasn't long enough so i could hook up the light harness to the plastic ring thing first and then put the ring back around the ignition. but the results are great!

wow man, you gotta work on your car more j/k
the led fits very tight indeed, but i didn't have to cut anything though, that's weird. and yes the wire is very tight, but some jiggling got me going fine
