Default Mark Levinson - Speaker replacement?

I have had an occasional bass distortion from what I think is my Mark Levinson door speakers. I already replaced one of the speakers with a used speaker on eBay, but the distortion is still there (coming from the other door, I think.) Does anyone have experience in aftermarket door speaker replacement alternatives?
I have a 2008 LS 460 - and getting another potential 17 year old speaker is making little sense.

Try Crutchfield. Depending upon year, they offer some equivalent speakers. The site asks for model and year, then shows you matches.

Ok - Local car audio place recommended Kickers. For the price of one Mark Levinson replacement speaker, I can get two Kickers and a warranty!

And they'll likely sound like crap. The OEM ML (Pioneer) speakers are designed and equalized for the car. An aftermarket speaker is not.

a new speaker would not be 17 years old
however it would be made in Mexico
for my 2005 a new door speaker is about $150
fresh stock at BELL LEXUS

Update: I've replaced the offending bass speaker with a used Mark Levinson on eBay. Problem fixed.
Still having distortion issues midrange at certain frequencies. It's better than it was, but I still hear it. Suspect a previous owner (or kid) blasted these speakers and ruined them
Ouch! Very expensive to replace Mark Levinson's!!

The ML speakers can be fixed. Usually what happens is that the factory glue comes undone. Buy speakers glue and take apart speaker. Reglue the speaker paper cone onto frame. Put back together and presto. People replacing their speakers when they are still good. I have fixed mine with no issues. Must use speakers glue. Amazon.
Good luck. Easy fix.

Default ML speakers are I think like 14 ohms.

No manufacturer makes a 14 ohms 6x9 car speaker. At the most it's 4-6 ohms. Do not mix low impedance speakers and 14 ohms speakers. Not muy bueno for your expensive Amplifier. Fix your ML speakers. Very easy DIY. Need speakers glue. Speakers are easy to disassemble. DO NOT USE ANY OTHER GLUE.

I used the PowerBass OE-690D from Crutchfield. Make sure you use the wire it correctly to match the Ohms. I only replaced one side and it sounds the same as the ML speaker.

Mine died b/c the magnet wasn't glued down and it shifted causing rubbing on the coil.
