Include the tundra and LX/GX as well, same engine family and same issues for the most part.

you are correct. I almost did but figured it would be better delegated to those respective forums to get a fuller response. Same goes for the engines in the isf, gsf and LC.

Stricker223
why did you select multiple years? You are skewing the results. Please correct this
unless perhaps you are a mechanic and have repaired those years. If that’s the case that’s fine.

Being that those are still all UR engines you should considering adding them, especially the ISF/GSF/LC engines as they are also car installed and feature the same DI and VVTi-E systems the LS 1UR does.

Correct, I've repaired those years. Simply put this is one of those problems you will see over time and miles, it's worse if you don't change coolant or let something in the cooling system have a problem.

You're leaving out the Toyota V6's that had this problem too.

Also, what about including the ones that didn't or hasn't yet leaked....your survey is skewed

I'm thinking this is tied to that back and forth thread from a few days ago.

If you mean the "car care nut warning" thread that turned into a model comparison thread there is another one from the past here with 148 more opinions lol.

These have been leaking for awhile, car forums seem to make the problem bigger than it actually is. I saw it on a Camry once.

what would you say the average mileage was for the cars you repaired?

Also I don’t see an option to edit the poll to include those models.
