Default LS430 to LS460, differences between 2016 and 2017

I am looking at a 2016 LS460. I am sure these questions have been covered but I am trying to expedit the process so here goes:

1. My understanding is that their were no changes between 2016 and 2017, is this correct?
2. Is there any way to determine from the pictures whether a AWD car has the cold weather package?

I'm sure I will come up with a few more questions but that's all for now.

To my understanding the 16 and 17 are the same.

The only major differences between 2013-2017 models are the production dates and mileage.

Awd models have a badge on the right rear under the tail light and the cold climate package has a heating grid on the bottom of the windshield.

If it has the heated steering wheel button, it has the cold weather package.

It is an AWD model, so it has the heated steering wheel button and also has the headlight washers. I believe these are a pretty good signs that it has the cold weather package. Thanks.

From what I researched when I bought my 2016 is that the 2016 &17 are the last of the 460's and the most upgraded in terms of build quality, for instance Lexus used extra adhesives on the 16 & 17 to make the body stiffer and quieter.

Nope, the major changes happened in 2013 and continued through 2017. Toyota/Lexus never pour any extra money into any model that is close to being replaced, quite the opposite really.

There was absolutely additional adhesive and chassis stregthening done for the 2016 model year, and the infotainment was replaced with the newer version for 2016

For 2016, the multimedia system is enhanced with minute changes that help usability considerably. Drivers are now able to display the map across all 12.3-inches of the navigation screen and enjoy updated graphics. For convenience, menu shortcuts have been added to the side of the screen for quick access to functions like Audio, Navigation, Phone, Climate, etc. Enhanced voice recognition capabilities will help users when commands are not understood by the system. In addition, the Remote Touch Interface now has “enter” and “back” buttons to help the driver navigate the multimedia screen.

The 2016 LS also receives body adhesive in more areas for enhanced body rigidity and handling. Runflat summer tires are now available as a convenient option for LS gas models

Thank you all, that's what I thought. I found and am in the midst of purchasing a 2016 LS460 SWB AWD with approximately 10k. Atomic Silver with Black interior.

That's just regurgitating the info on the 2013 model except for the ability to go fullscreen on the nav which isn't a major change.

From a cars.com review:

"New for 2016
Lexus has added more adhesive to make the LS 460’s body stiffer, and summer run-flat tires are optional. Lexus Enform Service Connect automatically generates vehicle maintenance information that’s available through a Lexus app and online."

Thats not true, they are saying that additional adhesives were used for 2016, Lexus reported it and it was widely reported in the press at the time as posted above. It’s very clear “the 2016 also receives adhesives in more areas” meaning it was a change from 2015.

My 2017 did feel stiffer than my 2015.
