I looked at two LS460's yesterday and both passenger side headlights daytime running lamps were out or dim. I found a few posts online and I'm guessing replacement of the headlight is the fix. Has anyone had this issue or how bright are the running lamps on a '13+ LS' at their best? Can anyone post pictures of theirs lit up? It seems there was a purple/blue light slightly in the bottom right side of the passenger headlight where the bad led might be. It's just odd that both headlights on two different cars had the same symptoms and both had the LED headlamp options which is a very high priced headlight apparently.
you are going to have to replace the complete assembly ( headlight ) the day light running light bulbs can't be replaced unless you bake the headlight , open it and put a new custom slip over the current one . I have same problem and i hear that you can with a scanner turn off the daylight running system .

You are correct. Headlight needs to be split open fo replacing DRL strips. Pain in the .... . If you want to disable DRL you can do it through the car menu on you multimedia screen, don't need any scan tools for that.
