Post Lexus ls600hl transmission shifting problem

What is happening to my car? I got my transmission fluid changed and now when I hit 70-80mph then let off the gas and then hit the pedal hard the car jerks like it’s struggling to move the car again.

It sounds like the shop that did the fluid change didn’t do it correctly. Lexus requires proprietary procedures and software to do it correctly.

Note that there is nothing to shift in the hybrid transmission of the LS600h. There are no clutch plates or valves. All of the gears are meshed all of the time. There's basically a bunch of gears and two electric motors / generators.
There is a 6 page procedure for changing the oil though, but it boils down to making sure the oil temperature is correct, then making sure it's circulating through the oil cooler, then checking that the level is correct.

why did you change the fluid? Lexus says to leave it alone so why not follow Lexus’s instructions

I see. So it wasn’t giving you problems. You just decided to change it thinking it was a good preventative measure. In the future it’s best to just follow the owners manual.

Changing it will not cause any issues if you change it according to Toyota/Lexus procedures. 100,000 is when to start checking. All oil breaks down so I have the dealer change all of mine. No issues, ever.
