Default Why would garage opener stop working after 8 yrs

I have 2 garage openers which both my vehicles were synced with and worked fine for years. First my Infiniti QX56 would only open 1 or the 2 doors programed. That happened about a year ago. Now my 2014 LS 460 wont open that same door. Both vehicles continue to open the 9ther garage. What could cause both at different times to stop working on just one door and the same door failure for both cars at different times?

Let me add both vehicles are older if that matters as are both garage door openers. Infiniti was bought new August 2011 and Lexus November 2014. I moved into house in 2010 and have not replaced garage door openers since Ive owned.

Have you tried to reprogram the cars to the opener?

Have you tired unplugging the openers from the power source and waiting 20 seconds and plugging them back in? My Overhead Door model Legacy opener will sometimes give me an issue and I have found unplugging fixes the problem.

Check to see if the light bulbs in both openers are the old incandessant type. Compact fluorescent and LED bulbs can cause RFI problems. If you are not sure about the types, then remove both bulbs.

That would explain why my opener doesn't respond randomly. Brilliant.

If you continue to have problems, try operating your openers with all the lighting in your garage turned off. Defective fluorescent lights can interfere with the remote operation of garage door openers.

My 2014 LS also wouldn't connect to my opener. Come to find out the remote sensor went out. I had an external unit put on top of the old unit and it works perfectly.
