2015 TPMS dashes, techstream shows data
Hello!
Recently picked up a 2015 LS awd fsport. Everything appears to be working perfectly, except the tpms display is showing dashes for all the tpms sensors. I've checked the ecu data with tTechstream and my Autel, and it can see both the pressure and temp data. And, when a tire is low, the dash warning light will illuminate. But I cannot get the actual pressure display on the dash display. I've reprogrammed them several times, disconnected the battery cable, and replaced the front center console accessory outlet fuse (was blown).
Seems like there is a weird internal problem communicating the data to the dash. Not a huge deal -- my gx470 only had a light (which I removed during modifications). But, would be nice to see the values for this. Very odd since everything else seem fine.
Weird ECU issue? Or possible that the tpms sensors were replaced and somehow still work w/ the ECU, but the dash data can't receive/show the data?
Thanks!

If you increase and decrease individual pressures, is it reflected in Techstream? What happens when you use the TPMS reset switch, the system is supposed to generate an error if it doesn't initialize correctly.
Suspected communication fault between dash and one of networks. You got all 5 readings, right? Not just 4 (in which case dash display won't work) - spare is 5th.
Ah, the 12+ got this weird sensor position doppler detection thingy. Try holding reset switch for 3 seconds until indicator blinks. It should proceed with extended init, takes about 5 minutes, there should be some message on display afterwards and light should stop blinking. Try that.

Correct I had a similar issue where the tire shop broke my sensor during a tire swap. I had to go to Lexus for a new one because they said those sensors on your car were hard to find. Either way the shop reimbursed me the cost of the sensor. Then they ended up not being able to program all 5 of the sensors so I had to go back to the Lexus dealership and pay for programing of the sensor. Yes this is a very large well know tire center.
There are several threads where Costco has success with TPMS. Other tire shops are also mentioned. Perhaps your experience was an unfortunate anomaly, but not typical based on other threads.
Since TPMS has been around for a minute now, more and more shops are getting more confident working with them. Lexus didn’t start displaying actual wheel positions until about 10 years ago. Now that those sensors are dying out I would expect to see some more competitive pricing soon. So far RockAuto seems to have the best deal, but not all shops want to work with customer provided parts.

But then I looked at my bill for the wheels etc and it stated the sensors were Part# 4260730060 which is legit but I've never seen oem sensors on a Toyota product with black rubber covered stems. Are these aftermarket?? I know now they were never cloned because the ones in my summer wheels have different ID numbers.
Just drives me nuts the things the dealers get away with.
Well, HonHai chinesium is worth more than gold, although that's more of an exception.
As you can't write (clone to) original Pacific sensors (they are preset with unique code at factory), any sensor that is 'reprogrammable' is non-oem and most likely made of chinesium.
