The ABS, Traction, Brake and yellow triangle are on my 2010 LS460. I erased the code, but the lights returned after a few miles. My tech friend read the code (sorry, didn't get it from him), but it said "the pressure from the ABS pump was not sufficient". He said the ABS pump module needs replacing. If so, I would think I should get a refurbished or new pump assembly? If so, does it has to be programmed?
I apologize for not knowing about Lexus. I am a one year owner after driving Mercedes for 35 years! Any guidance would be awesome!
There are multiple threads about your issue. It is the ABS accumulator, control module and or the pump. It's a know weak point. You will need a tech with the proper software to do this diagnosis and repair. Dealer is most costly. I'm not aware of any refurbished units. new units are quite costly as is the labor. $2-3k. Coming from MB, you know what expensive repairs is. There are a few Japan vendors that ship to USA for a substantial savings. Amayama is one.
Understand! What is sad is I have had more problems with this car than I had with any of my S classes MB in the first year of ownership. Just don't understand it! Only 82,000 miles, mint condition and 100% dealer serviced. I though they were so reliable! Oh well....
Sorry to hear about the problems you have had with your LS 460. I believe most LS 460 are very reliable but any vehicle especially that's 10 years or older can be subject to problems, without warnings, regardless of mileage or how well they have been maintained. I owned one MB S-class prior to my LS and it was a money PIT after the warranty expired. I driven my 2010 LS 460L for the last 12 years and I can honestly say it's the best vehicle I ever owned. It's not a perfect car but it's a car I'm still proud to own and I enjoy driving.
In that time/miles did the dealer ever perform a brake fluid flush? Brake fluid gathers moisture over time and this (from what I understand) is what leads to premature failure. Mine failed at 62K miles but 8 years. No flush was done for my car and I wound up paying for this repair.

Very good observation. Especially in non-arid climates, most of the USA except SW.
So, I just received a notice about warranty extension to March 31, 2024 for the brake booster and pump, then up to 10 years/150,000 miles in service if applicable after that. Maybe this is connected? It describes exactly what you've listed
Actually, I just checked, and it's only applicable to the LS460 for year 2013+. Weird. It wouldn't hurt to check and ask though; sometimes this kind of thing expands to additional model years.
C1256, from the letter, is "Accumulator Low Pressure", sounds like what your friend scanned?
