Battery Prices
Not sure who you been talking to, but group size has nothing to do with battery capacity, just the physical size. The LS battery is held in place by a bracket that goes across the top. Either battery will work fine if they meet capacity specs.
I did get a 24 by mistake and it was lose even with the bracket.
And in the tray the battery sits in, there would be room on the left and right.
At least on my 2014, I can take a picture if you want to see..
BUT, with specs, it will work, it just does not fit righ in the space that is all...

Thanks, but don't need a pic. I have a 24 in my '11 LS and as you say, there's room on both sides, but the top bracket secures it, so it's not of any concern. And as I mentioned, Costco prices are very tough to beat and they are top of the line Interstate batteries. Actually any 12 volt battery that physically fits and meets capacity specs will work.
I bought mine at Costco and installed it 2 years or so ago. (They install tires only at my store.) I think I paid about $100. Advance, Autozone, etc., wanted around $150 at the time for a comparable battery. So it was a no brainer.
If you've not a member at Costco, try it and I'll think you'll be happy with all their prices. You'll get your membership fee back with just purchasing your gas there which is generally the cheapest around. And it's Top Tier gas. When/if you go, expect a little wait due to their prices.

Mine was a Lexus battery. I am not sure who makes them for Lexus but it had a 7 year warranty. Mine went bad after 3 years and Lexus pro rated it. When that one went bad I went with a Duracell AGM and that was back in Feb 21.
