Does anyone have data on weight distribution for an ‘04 ML? Seems like 53% front and 47% rear is what I’m finding, but would like to confirm. Also, is that with an empty gas tank? Lastly, what about side-to-side weight, meaning at each wheel?
I just installed some new coilovers and the car seems to feel a little twitchy. I’m no racer, so could be in my head, but would like to put the car on scales and verify.
Also added spacers, 15mm front and 25MM rears for the right stance.
Coils shouldn't make the car more twitchy, more alive and road feel, less body roll. What coils do you have and what hardness setting did you set it to? Alignment looks ok no crazy Camber
Coilover brand and spring rate would be useful info. Did you set your preload correctly? My LS felt fine after I installed the coilovers but my WRX was all over the place, a simple alignment fixed it.
They’re RSR coilovers bought from a member on here. They were on his car for only a couple of months and looked as-new when I received them. Also installed Megan rear camber arms and I believe alignment is within specs, although I didn’t get a printout from shop. Not sure of spring rate.
I think preload might be the issue and have arranged to put the (4) corners on a scale. Once I get that done, I’ll get another alignment done and see what happens.
