Today my trunk decided not to open. Have a 05 LS430UL . The internal trunk switch located next to the gas cap does not open the trunk, when it is pulled it no longer pops the trunk like usual. The trunk lock is OFF. The finger trunk switch on the outside of the trunk is completely non responsive. Even tried manually unlocking the trunk from the outside with my key and it does not work. I can’t get to the trunk thru the back seat to pull the lever from the inside of the trunk since i have a UL with a cooler . Any ideas on what the issue is and how it can be fixed without going to the dealership???

 

Did you push in the valet lock button? Check that, put key in and unlock it
