Lowering Springs Reviews
Hey guys, first post. Been reading around and I like the environment here a lot. Just bought a 2002 LS430 ML with 163,000 miles as my first car. I love how it drives and how smooth it is. The one thing I don't like, though, is the ride height. I want to lower it at least an inch or two, while retaining most of the comfortability and smoothness while driving. If it helps, I'm planning on putting on some 19' wheels after I lower it. If you're running lowering springs in your build, it would be a huge help if you could just give me a review on how it affected the ride, how much it dropped the car, pics would be appreciated but I know not everyone has time for that. The majority of the time you lower a car you will lose some of the comfort and smoothness since lowering spring are usually stiffer. If you get springs you should also match the shock absorbers to the springs and new ride height. Most people get coilovers since the dampening is matched to the spring rate, on quality coilovers anyway.

I vote coilovers as well! The ability to fine tune the height as well is a huge benefit. Most also allow you to adjust the ride from hard to soft so you can dial in your preferred ride.
