Default Nav “External System Not Connected”

Hi, my 2005 LS430 with 171000 miles,
Nav’s screen is just now showing
“External System Is Not Connected”.

I checked all connections at trunk’s
DENSO computer module. They are
secure.
1. Are there any other connections
to be checked? I have not touched
the screen, etc. Don’t plan on doing
this.
2. I have learned from threads that this module’s soldered joints can go bad
with age. Which joints are they?
3. Can’t find anyone who is knowledgeable
who wants to repair the module, etc.
4. Can any Forum members provide a
repair facility?
5. Are there any fuses, etc. that I should
be checking? If so, what’s their locations?
6. If none of this is successful, I will have
to locate a unit from a dismantler.
7. Any other ideas? Referrals?
8. Module is labeled Denso #86841-50090.
What other Lexus models OR other car
manufacturer’s models utilize
this same module?
Thanks. PAULANTH

I don't know that this thread is related to your issue or not but I just inform you. The OP took apart the head unit and found out a blown fuse.

Thanks Yamae for your response.
I have two questions for the Forum:
1. What is the “OP” in Yamae’s second line?
2. Does anyone have a tutorial
of how to remove trim and get
to the fuse in the Head Unit?
The location of the fuse & type fuse?
(the Head Unit being the screen
in the front center instrument
 panel - correct?).

My journey continues.
