Mufflers for 2004 LS430...
I saw the numbers don't cross over.......why the nightmare? Only two companies make aftermarket mufflers for the LS430.......I bought Walker in 2018 for the right side and 2019 for the left side.....they are completely rusted out and they were supposed to be stainless......they have a lifetime warranty but I have to send them back to Rock to get a refund and they are out of stock even if I wanted to replace with the same. The other company is API who has a 12 month warranty and everyone says is junk.
The other option is $1200 to 1600 without labor to Lexus on a very nice low mileage 18 year old car.......the value of which is very little.
Finding other parts for the car is very easy.......there are no good options for these mufflers that I know of.
This is exactly why I won't buy a european car because of the outrageous cost to fix........but I'm really surprised with Toyota/Lexus......$800+ for each muffler....insane in my opinion.

Walker mufflers are awful, stainless steel? How about NO. The price from Lexus is quite silly I wonder if a muffler shop would be able to fabricate something. How did the originals fail? Did the muffler rust out, the piping?

- CORROSION RESISTANT STAINLESS STEEL -- The only broad-market muffler with 100% stainless-steel construction that delivers longer life versus aluminized mufflers while an internal drainage system reduces moisture collection.....
I called a couple and they said no........the originals....one internally collapsed in 2013 and one rusted in 2018.
Not sure what to do.....I see other threads but same problems with replacements.
Good question. I put one in for a friend a few years ago guess what happened. It rotted out completely. Stainless steel does rust if it's constantly cooled/heated but it take a long time. Walker is not using stainless not even the cheapest grade.
Lexus is charging an arm and a leg because they know they have you over a barrel. I'm sure a good muffler shop could fabricate a solution but looking at the hangers and bends it could be a bit tricky.
.....there are some on Ebay that look decent, shipping might be a killer though. Check out the JDM listing they look clean.

Quality Stainless Steel should never rust.
I have Motad stainless steel headers on my GTR1000. I bought the headers in 2005 after the original steel headers rotted out.
During first 2 years they slowly turned a tan/brown colour, but after well over 100k miles and 16 years of riding them all year round (including through winters on salted roads), there is zero rust on them.
We have a specialist in Leeds, UK who makes a bespoke stainless system for the LS430 from the CATs backwards for about $700.
I recently had a Y-pipe fabricated and fitted by a local specialist for just $200. He did re-use the OEM secondary CAT but replaced the rest with stainless, including the two O2 sensor mounts.
I think that your best bet would be to speak to a local specialist.
I'm pretty certain that they will be able to fabricate what you need for WAY less than Lexus want, but it will cost more than aftermarket mufflers.
