Spacers and ride height compatibility Lexus LS430
For those of you who have lowered your cars and added spacers (or anyone with experience in this “field”), I’ve got a question if you don’t mind.
I’m looking to lower my ‘05 LS430 about 3” at max (or as low as it’ll go without the fenders going down past the wheels) and I imagine there will be a very tiny gap between the fenders and the wheels. Given that, I also want to add 15mm and 25mm spacers on the front and back, respectively, to give my car a nicer, wider stance. FYI I have OEM 18” wheels.
So my question is, if I lower my car AND add spacers, do any of you guys know if the tires will be at risk of constantly hitting and potentially damaging the fender lips? I’m only asking cause I’m pretty sure that without spacers, while going over the bumps on these garbage roads😂, the wheels don’t make contact with the fenders on the lowered car and instead will go deeper into the wheel well as the suspension does it’s job. So, if I add 15mm and 25mm spacers, will my wheels constantly hit the fender lips (since all 4 wheels are pulled outwards more)?
If I confused you, please let me know and I’ll elaborate.
Thanks a lot in advance.
