Default Door handle gasket

This is why I was hesitant to buy an old Lexus. Gasket has broken and come loose. $350 to fix it because you can't buy the gasket.

Huh? That part is readily available for a few $.
https://www.lexuspartsnow.com/parts/...242-50020.html
https://www.ebay.com/itm/GENUINE-LEX...R/353396298315

If the dealer wants to charge you $350 to replace a $7 part then my advice is either do it yourself or find a decent independent mechanic.
It's not a simple job, but it's not $343 worth of labour neither.

It was $350 for a whole new handle because Toyota/Lexus doesn't sell the gasket. Nothing about labor. And the problem with the parts you referenced is since a toddler drew the images, I have no idea if they're the correct parts. How do you know that's what the part is called?
That could be anything.

That's a weird way to phrase a "thank you for your help."

I guess it would have been. It was a fine way of asking, "How do you know that's what the part is called?"

The eBay listing above has an actual picture of the part... so there is no confusion at this point.

And, interestingly enough, the name of said part printed on the package. You can lead a horse to water...

Yeah, I think the Ebay part is for the front part of the door handle, I need the rear. But since it is 69242-50020, that does confirm that 69241-50020 is the rear part I need. I ordered both from the Lexus parts site. I think it's understandable that since the name of the part on the Ebay site, which is NOT the part I needed, is completely different than the parts listed on the Lexus parts site, I would be hesitant to believe it was correct. The fact that I asked BigBoomer for clarification on the names does not mean I'm incapable of being helped or that I was not grateful for the help. No need to be nasty about it.

Yup,242 is for the LEFT door handle so 241 is the correct part. I thought they were all the same.
