Default *SOLVED* No climate control?

Hey guys, new member but long time lurker. I've had my 01 LS UL package for over 4 years now. A year ago the Nav went out, and now the climate control only works intermittently, strangely it tends to not work after it rains. I unplugged the nav module and it was pretty rusty. I understand the climate control can work independently from it. Where should I start before I start throwing parts at it? Nav screen unit? Gateway ECU, any other ideas?

Also, if I do in fact need a new screen, amplifier etc, am I better off going aftermarket? Which one do you guys recommend, I've seen a bunch but not sure which one(s) are most popular here.

Thanks,
Andrew

Thanks. I do believe i saw your thread a bit ago. What did you pay for the used amp? They seem pricey hence wondering if going aftermarket would yield a better end result for the price.

I wish I remembered how much. I’m thinking $200(?).
I got it on ebay at the end of 2018 I believe, and unfortunately they wipe out records of older purchases. No cool imho.

I didn’t look into aftermarket units.

So I noticed the amp you installed is a pioneer unit, this means you don't have the Mark Levinson system?

Also, I'm a fellow WNY'er in Rochester. Where are you?
