Default LS430 water pump lifespan

Hi, does anyone know the lifespan of a water pump on the 3uz-fe? I've got a car with 190,000 Kilometres on it which has had the timing belt done at 125,000 but on the invoice it says the water pump was inspected but not replaced.
Thanks

Water pump, timing belt, tensioner pulley should all be done at the same time. No if, ands or buts about it.

I've seen them start to leak anywhere from 100k to 200k+ miles. If you don't see coolant leaking out the bottom behind the crankshaft pulley you should be fine until your next timing belt service. There is a small drain hole on the bottom of the plastic cover behind the crankshaft pulley on the bottom of the engine. If there is any pink residue there the pump is leaking.

And there's been rumors of the timing belt lasting to 350k miles, but why chance it? There's a reason why every single timing belt kit for this engine comes with a new water pump and idler pulley.

timing belt service
Here's the details of the service invoice, maybe the water pump was included automatically.

Default 130k?

I had my timing belt and water pump supposedly done at 90k. One of the few services I did not do at a Lexus dealer, Not sure if I got scammed, because my water pump went at 130k and car started to overheat. -- no coolant. Got it cooled down before it went too red (I heard fans going too etc.), and next day drove it to a nearby shop. (Would have had to tow it to a dealer, since... no coolant). Redid timing belt at same time. This time I know they did it, as the new water pump or belt was slightly audible! The shop on the 2nd pump charged me an extra $200 saying the pump was stuck on and needed to be cut off??? welded? Sounded dubious, but what was I supposed to say? The travails of not being a mechanic myself. Gave re a really bad taste after the shop seemed honest. Anyway assuming the first shop never did the belt or water pump the first time, and just cheated me, mine went bad around 130k and 13 years, or 4k and 4 years if it actually was replaced the first time...I am just glad the timing belt didn't break first.

okay so based on this mine is probably about to fail in the next 20,000 kms. what I might do is ring the garage and see if they can explain it.

With this logic you dont have to replace timing belt until 300k miles

153,000 miles with original water pump. The previous owner did not change the pump at 98,000 miles with the timing belt. I've always kept an eye on it. So far, no leaks.

I traded in my 2007 s550 for 2021 rx350!

it’s a nice comfortable ride
but it really lacks power for “luxury car”

I regret not just going for 2021 Toyota Highlander Xle and save about $13,000
as it’s same engine and it’s still fairly smooth

i guess buying car at end of production cycle I’m worried about having the old model In 2 years too

I suggest wait till new rx comes of get highlander for less

What does this have to do with the lifespan of a LS430 water pump?
