I'm looking at a LS430 Sport Suspension that has a backup camera. The guy wants too much money for the car, so I am looking at another one that I would have to fly to see. It is probably not the Sport Suspension. It does not have the same backup camera, it says "Park Assist/Back Up Camera and Monitor" but doesn't look the same at all. Different stereo as well, it looks like. Both are 2004.
The top one looks like my car, which is a base model and no screen so no backup camera. It has parking sensors, so im guessing the slash in 'parking sensors/backup camera' stands for 'or' and not 'and'

Thanks, that makes sense. I am trying to figure out if the Sport Suspension vehicle is overpriced and it's hard when there aren't any for sale. I suppose he can demand a higher price because of it. KBB doesn't have it as an option, so I don't know how much more to add to their price to compensate for it.
The sport suspension option, at this late date, should have a negligible influence on value to my mind. Figure the entire car + all the options has depreciated roughly 90 percent since new. Look at the Window Sticker and multiply the Sport Suspension option by 0.1 to get a realistic marginal value for this option today. In fact, the condition of the suspension, whether Sport or otherwise, and many other things as well, will have a far greater impact on price. So what if it has the Sport option if all the LCA bushings are shot or it groans and creaks over the payment bumps, tires show uneven wear, the shocks are bad, etc.
If everything is peachy and the car is flawless, no rust, etc., buy it if you like it but compare the seller's price against other non-Sport Suspension cars in similar condition and mileage.
I thought it was Sport Suspension causing the price to be inflated, maybe it's what someone called Premier Package? I can't tell. It doesn't help that KBB doesn't differentiate between the versions of the car. Sport Suspension is not even an option. I selected every option I could think of and excellent condition and this is the best it gives me. His bottom line is $11k (supposedly). Other than being delusional, and there aren't any like it for sale, how is he so far off?
I can't really tell without knowing more about the condition, maintenance history, and what a full inspection will reveal. All I can say is if this car is actually a "10" then $ 11K is probably a good price. Such cars sell very fast out here in the Pacific Northwest. If it has been on the market for months, it is overpriced. For a car in good condition with 101,000 miles the KBB values seem about right. Obviously, the seller thinks it is exceptional. It may be, but the Premium package (actually a low budget package) and the Sport suspension ought to contribute virtually nothing to the price.
The reason KBB does not differentiate between the trims is probably because it makes virtually no difference whatsoever in fair market price.
Is he off on price? take a hard look at it, drive it, get it inspected, and report back. He may or may not be off. Test EVERYTHING, including the tilt/telescope, outside mirrors, stereo, speakers, brake fluid condition, radiator and overflow tank, suspension components, tire wear, scan for codes.
Assuming it's everything he thinks it is, I'm only offering $10 and I think that's too much, but I'm allowing that it's the only one for sale...
Maybe this may be of some value ...

Several leather upgrades are available, however, including Ecru ($1,460), Black Semi-Aniline ($2,100) and Saddle Comfort Nappa ($2,100); all three require the purchase of an additional upgrade package, and Saddle Comfort Nappa is restricted to models painted Black Onyx or Flint Mica.
The Premium Package ($1,390) adds climate-controlled front seats with fans that circulate heated or chilled air, heated rear seats, and sonar-based Intuitive Parking Assist.
The Modern Luxury Package ($4,980) bundles a Mark Levinson audio system, navigation system, reversing camera, Bluetooth communications technology, climate controlled front seats, heated rear seats, and Intuitive Parking Assist.
The Custom Luxury Selection ($5,935) includes the Mark Levinson audio, navigation system, rear backup camera, Bluetooth, Dynamic Laser Cruise Control, Intuitive Parking Assist, climate-controlled front seats, rear seat heaters, headlamp washers, and power door closers.
The Ultra Luxury Selection ($11,320) features all that plus Adaptive Variable Air Suspension, SmartAccess keyless entry and ignition, and a number of amenities for rear seat passengers, including: sunshades for the rear passenger doors, a rear-seat adjuster with memory, climate-controlled rear seats with a massage feature, and a rear air conditioner with optical deodorizer. The Custom Luxury and Ultra Luxury packages can be paired with the Pre-Collision Safety System, in which case Dynamic Radar Cruise Control is substituted for the laser system.
The Sport Package ($220) combines a handling-tuned suspension with 18-inch wheels and summer tires. The same package with chromed wheels costs a bit more ($1,920).
The LS 430 comes with a 278-horsepower 4.3-liter aluminum V8 and a six-speed automatic transmission. (The same engine was rated 290 horsepower last year, which might lead some consumers to wonder how Lexus let those 12 horses get away. What has in fact happened is that the Society of Automotive Engineers, or SAE, has revised its test procedures for horsepower and torque, and as a result some of the numbers are coming out lower this year. So in fact all the ponies are still in the stable; but the racing commission is counting them differently. There is no change in performance over last year's model as it's the same.)

I have a "Euro" 2004 and it's spec is equivalent to the Ultra Luxury except it doesn't have the Radar or Laser Cruise Control or the PCS.
It has the factory air-ride and mine handles pretty well for a 2 ton barge.
In Sport and Power Mode she can be chucked through the twisties pretty damned quick.
No, she's no MX-5/Miata but then she weighs twice as much.
I paid 4400 UK-Pounds US$6000) for her in Jan 2018 with 91k miles.
The LS's sure are expensive in the USA.
