Well sadly the first iteration havent faired to well. the material used to print them was very
brittle and is starting to crack. im looking into a different plastic preferably delrin. ill keep updating.
Man, it is crazy that this part is so difficult to obtain. I am rooting for you and the 3-d printing! I’d love to order one from you if you get it figured out. I wonder if I could use one of the existing hooks to make a mold, fill it with some melted plastic, and make my own.
After searching for ever I decided to make my own injection moulds and make some properly. My clips are completely solid not hollow, have 2 predetermined holes for factory hardware and are made out of a high strength automotive plastic I use on bumpers. If anyone’s interested I’ll be selling them in sets of 6. These clips will not break. Smashed one with a hammer a dozen times. I lost the clip before breaking it.
@Mikethemuss do you still have the mold would you be willing to make 6 more? I can pay you
