Currently own a decent '04 ML. I really like the car and want to find one that is in better condition and in a color combo that I like better. I really like the saddle interior, and think it looks great with nearly every possible color it was available with.

Are there any production numbers about how many cars were optioned with saddle? Obviously CL or UL only, so that reduces it. From classifieds searches, it appears UL cars are less than 25% of what I've seen. CL are even more rare. I also saw that saddle was offered on a fewer selection of exterior colors in '06. I definitely want a facelift car.

Yes, pretty rare. Even more rare was the color combo I had. She was a beauty and treated me well. Briarwood pearl with saddle. Only offered in 04 and the only car I ever regret selling.

They rarely come up in the market around where I live, maybe once a year, and the Craigslist ads are gone in a few days.

 

Doesn't it indicate CL or UL? That in itself reduces the numbers. It is nice compared to the typical cashmere, or gray, or black.

 

Rare, but not as rare as Bordeaux.

 

Anyway you look at it......It's rare.....If it is a major criteria for finding an LS430 to your liking, you might be looking for a long time.

Probably because few like the color. I have always liked browner tone vs red.

That’s exactly right! I have seen two saddle interior LS430’s pop up in my area in the past nine years. I worked at a Lexus dealership for a few years and never saw one despite how many LS430’s we had in for service. Bordeaux is so rare that I never knew it existed until a few months ago.

 

It’s stunning in person. It’s more common on the SC430 compared to the LS430. It’s extremely rare to see on the second generation GS too.

 

I would love to Bordeaux swap my 04 haha.

 

I wonder if they tweaked the color a bit. I never remember mine looking this brown under certain lighting conditions. I like it.
