For the Pioneer system on the LS430, the mounting bracket is integrated into the speaker basket and cannot be separated. To utilize a "Standard" sub-woofer as a replacement, you will have to source a Mark Levinson plastic Sub-woofer bracket and use it as an adapter. Please note that the two brands are setup differently - The Pioneer utilize 4 conductors to drive a 2-ohm Dual-voice-cone sub-woofer, while the Mark Levinson uses 2 conductors to drive a 16-ohm Single-voice-cone sub-woofer. Please take a look at the link below for more details: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...on-ml-sub.html
The existing voice cone cannot be easily replaced so there is not a good reason to save the existing speaker anyway - so just cut out and save the mount bracket as an adapter for the standard replacement sub-woofer.
If this were my Pioneer sub-woofer, I would cut off the webs/supports and separate the mounting bracket away from the remaining basket (voice cone and magnet). Then I would drill and tap new screw holes on to the saved bracket for an aftermarket sub-woofer for attachment.
The Pioneer speaker drops into the hole in the metal beneath the parcel shelf, just like the ML does.
If you want the ML bracket to fit an aftermarket sub into, then you are almost certainly out of luck, as that bracket is not sold separately.
I'm not even certain if the ML and Pioneer mounting holes line up, but I would imagine that they do.
About your only chance would be to find an LS with the ML system at a recyclers and buy the sub out of that, with bracket.
Well, I just put in the Polk low profile speaker no bracket just naked speaker. Put two long self tapping screws in to hold it down and put the cover on and it works just fine. Project done. No one knows but me and anyone reading this post lol.
