Hi there, I recently bought an Ls430, trying to figure it out and got some problems i cant find solution for:

1. There's a plug, no idea where it comes from - hangs next to the drivers headlight, pic below.



2. The A/C works. I mean, sometimes. Mostly it doesnt, and i dont know where to start. No leaks. When compressor starts you can hear the RPM going up and it's blowing cold air but it randomly turns off and seems dead for unknown amount of time. Could be 2 days, could be 10mins of driving, then again - works fine, but no one knows for how long. Any ideas?

 

I dont know about the plug. But I just hadf a similar problem with the AC. I took it to thr Toyota dealer do get it fixed. They verified the problem, saw it not working. They then did an evac and refill. It was then working fine and they said it WAS NOT low on Freon. It has been working fine ever since and neither they nor I know what the problem was. But you might try an evac and refill.
