Yet another mirror issue question
Hi there, my first post here but I've been lurking around for a while. The outside mirrors on my 2004 doesn't work properly (i.e., doesn't adjust) for a while and I found the thread here about cleaning the contact of the switch. Did that, now the driver side works fine. The passenger side, however, is acting weird.
First, when adjusting it tries to move but quickly ends up with all clicking, like something standing on its way. I did also try to manually push the mirror in the adjusting direction at least 6 clicks as suggested by some members, still doesn't do the trick. Second, and this is crazy, it doesn't move into the direction of the buttons. Like pressing the up arrow then it moves to the right, pressing the right arrow it moves up (or down, I don't really remember), etc.
Now, I did try to clean the contacts again and again, even using sand paper to scratch the contact of the Left-Center-Right switch. Again, the driver side works, just the passenger side doesn't. What could be an issue here? I think, and hope, that the mirror is still ok (since it does move). The only thing I haven't try is to spray some WD-40 grease into the mirror itself (remember someone did that in the other thread). Otherwise, any suggestion is greatly appreciated.

I had a different car that sort of did what you say, and since it was under warranty, the dealer simply replaced the motor.....I know on our cars we'd like to avoid that cost, so can you get it to where you want and leave it?
Set it and leave it was what I've been doing. Just wondering why it acts like it does and if there's anything I can do. Would be nice to have it fixed!
Is there any way to remove the mirror itself from the whole outside mirror (so that I don't have to disassemble the door to get to the screws) to check the motors? I couldn't find any instruction.
