Not yet, I'm going on the 2nd to do an inspection but it's very certain I'm gonna buy it. I'm just happy it's the exact combo and not beaten up and close

Hey Striker, Looks like a nice car. Make sure you get a thorough examination of the area of the accident and of course the entire car itself. You will be the 4th owner, so as many service records as possible should be helpful. Don't let your emotions make the decision for you. Good luck and let us know how you make out.

PS. Make sure there are no last minute "fluff fees" on the purchase agreement (under the name of documentation fee, processing fee, etc). It's another name for added profit to the agreed upon price.

Im looking at both, the silver one is up first since it has a few things more that I want then the one you just linked since it's a great option since sport suspension and other nice things. There are also two more in going to check but right now it's the sliver one in the lead if it's not damaged or needing a lot since I prefer the CL package over all the others but in my home state we barely have any 430s so I went with a base in great cosmetic shape.

I originally wanted a silver CL with less than 100k miles but I settled for a cosmetically great base model with white paint. The two features though that I'm really sore about not having is heated seats and parking sensors, the laminated glass and better lights/soft close doors on a CL are all things I wanted but were not super high importance.

Only hard thing now is the fact my base has all new suspension bushings, strut mounts, tires, every maintenance item done, and a new radiator and every other thing that was wrong is fixed. Kidna made me attached to it since I put time in.

I went to see a few cars today ...

https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/d...4492/overview/
This car is UL, 1 owner, no accident report although there's not much maintenance record either. 101K miles. When I set the air suspension to High, the car generates a weird sound like a motor running, and it doesn't stop until I set back to Normal. Also, watching from outside, I can't see any change in the height level. Can you tell from your UL car that the height changes? My guess is that the previous owner probably changed all to normal suspension, but there's no record of that. The dealer guy doesn't know much, he insists that the air suspension is working fine, the weird sound is the motor filling air to the air suspension, but he cannot tell me why that sound doesn't stop. I don't remember if I hear any sound like that in my previous 06 UL.
Another thing is that when I look down to the lower grill, the place of the laser cruise control (in red below), it's totally empty and there's like a broken clip. Is that normal? I'm not so sure about this. The dealer guy said that since it has radar at the Lexus logo, it doesn't need the laser down there. Is that true?

Another car https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/d...9431/overview/
This one is very nice, clean inside out. 81K miles, 1 owner, 1 accident but all serviced at Lexus dealer, the car didn't drive much in the last few years. The hood struts are very weak so they need to be replaced. Also the tires are almost gone. Looks like I can get it at $12K out of the door, probably a little less. It comes with 3 keys, but none of them work and the dealer said that they need to be reprogrammed. Can I do it myself?

What's your pick b/w these 2?
Thanks

Well I'm being jerked around in price and fees right now so I told them I'll be back tomorrow while the manager was trying every trick to get me to stay and buy. Also lord they try to push financing hard even when you have cash.

Car checks out great though, only damage from the collision was rear bumper and the tail pipe is slightly not aligned. Whole fender was replaced, they put it on a lift for me, my inspection took 3 hours and the interior had only slight dirt on the drivers foot rear, scratches at the drivers memory button #2, very very slight wear on the shifter **** leather, and there is extremely minor wear on the bottom of the screen on the grey plastic that frames it. Oh and the telescopic wheel function is dead because LS430

ALL systems work aside from that and all computers scanned good down to every seat heater controller.

Exterior is fine I guess, the wheels have some scuff and there are some scratches that will need correction and the headlights are slightly faded. Still acceptable but not nearly as nice as my dent-less, scratch-less 02, kinda uncertain about that part.

Feature wise god**** I like the laminated glass and headliner, ML audio is good but not super different unless you sit in the back. I do not like the lack of a split level glove box since it's harder to get into and I will lose my dedicated gun section. Rear seats are much nicer and the cool/heat seats are a nice touch but I perfer real seat heaters. Passive entry is not as good as on my other cars but works, soft close is badass and something I think I will require going forward.

Don't let the dealer push you around......especially with any last minute "fluff" (added dealer processing fees). Good luck.

Dealer fees in Florida are among the highest, if not the highest, in the U.S.

Freaking $800 for those. I'm reeling over it since back in Ohio it's less than $100 to get a car sorted out. Not over $1000 on fees plus the dealer extra charge stupidity, I like the car a lot but I was expecting to be able to play with the price a little and get out the door at or below the advertised price not almost $2000 over it.

Still a fair deal but no longer the great deal that had me excited.

Take the financing to close the deal, as long as no pre-payment penalty in Florida, then just pay it off?
