Default Question about center pillar trim removal and install

Hi fellow Lexus LS430 owners,

Anyone has taken this upper center pillar trim piece out and put a new one back in before? What kind of process is involved? Is it difficult? Ideally I don't want to do this at the dealer$hip.

My trim code is LA08, so if I order part, LexusPartsDeal.com shows Trim08 is okay?

Thanks for advice!

Thank you for your clear diagram! Look like I just need to pry gently and undo a couple of screws. I will give it a shot!

The reason I am replacing it is that the alcantara material was worn out by previous owners.

Yeah, my '01 looks great but I test drove an '03 the other day, and that trim piece was shredded on both sides. How the heck does that happen?

My car's previous owner may have damaged it while cleaning interior. Or they rub against it every time getting in and out?

I don't know how exactly people damage it either as I don't see how I can do it.

Same here, I need to replace mine ! doesnt seem that hard. I would remove the lower section, undo the seat belt and then remove the upper part!

Browsing ebay/yahoo auctions for both driver and passenger B pillar trim.
