Hello guys. Has anyone installed the Beat-Sonic MVA-24L in their Lexus LS430 and kept the stock speakers and amp? Can you comment on the sound quality after installation? Any distortion, would it sound like the CD player sounds in the vehicle now? Any comments or additional info you have experienced with the kit is welcome, thanks kindly!

From their website:
  • Seamless installation using plug and play - No splicing of factory wires.
  • Retain the functions of your factory navigation and screen. (works while the vehicle is parked with the parking brake engaged)
  • Video input interface function for your factory OEM navigation screen.
  • Compatible with all the major aftermarket navigation/stereo manufacturers.
  • Fits like OEM, looks like OEM.
  • Perfect color match and perfect fitment.
  • This kit comes with everything you need to install a new double DIN head unit.
  • Made in Japan
It uses the same wires, but this is just a carrier for a new double-din radio. Any sound issues would result from that unit, not this carrier, right?

I can't comment on the 430 but I used the Beatsonic harness for my LS400 with everything stock and it worked fine, albeit expensive. For me well worth it.

No distortion or anything like that when playing music through your phone?

Not sure, I am trying to figure out before I purchase this unit if there are any negatives to sound quality. I have read a few posts about possible distortion so was looking to hear from those who may have installed this unit with stock amp and speakers with no discernible difference in sound quality. I am looking to add a CarPlay enabled unit to utilize music and maps from my phone.

I have it in my car right now with a Pioneer AVIC 8200. Initially I had distortion, but only because I was not setting everything up correctly. Consider the new head unit you put in as a pre-amp going to the factory system. If you turn the new head unit up too much you will get distortion, but you still have volume control from the the steering wheel (if that makes sense). You will have to adjust the settings to dial it in. I found that if I have the Pioneer volume set to 27/28, I can still turn the volume up on the factory sound to 50/52 without distortion. With the Pioneer I have much more adjustment with sounds settings and it sounds much better and louder. I stream a lot through Spotify. I have also used it with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto without issues.

Awesome! This is exactly the information I was looking for before making the purchase. So would you say when utilizing Spotify or CarPlay, the audio quality is equivalent or better than I get from a CD in my vehicle now. As for getting rid of distortion and ensuring a clean sound. Am I understanding that you keep the head unit at the same volume level, and only adjust volume from steering wheel from there on out? Thanks for your help!

I can't answer about using the CD player as I never used it. But with having the EQ on the new head uint, it will make a BIG difference. It is definitely louder and cleaner with using the BeatSonic adapter and the Pioneer head unit. Yes, you are understanding me correctly about setting the volume to a specific level on the new head unit and then use the factory volume control from the steering wheel to adjust and you should have no issues.

The BS adapter is all crimp and play - they do a very good job building these!

I had to run the new antenna lead too with the new head unit. I didnt add a backup camera but now is the time to do it, if you'd like one :-)

Zero. The only distortion I ever had come from the sub because it had a torn cone. I replaced that and never had any complaint about it.

I second this. Since I was having it installed for me I purchased a backup camera and had them install that too. Do yourself a solid and look for a camera that mounts in the center, using the two upper license plate screws. The ones that mount on one side will give you a distorted fish eye view I found annoying.

Is anyone running the BeatSonic dash kit on a BASE LS430 (non - UL)?
What did you do about the 3 switch holes?

I think that particular kit you have posted up is for the factory nav w/ Mark Levinson system
