Default NEED HELP! - LS shut down after Red Maintenance Light Reset fail

Hi All need some urgent assistance. I was trying to reset the red maintenance light and after a few failed attempts. Everything shut down and its not even turning over. The car is just dead. I was holding the Reset button next to the trip button for a while when the ignition was in the first position (ACC position ?) and everything just shut off. I tried holding down the button below the dash underneath my right knee and turning the ignition but nothing.
Is there anything I can do to turn everything back on? I need to have the car functional this evening.

Thanks in advance.

Disconnect the negative battery cable for a few minutes, then reconnect and try again.

Thanks for the quick response, that unfortunately did not work. I disconnected the black cable on the battery for about 20 minutes. Not lights and no crank. I will try to give the battery a boost. I don't think it needs it but not much else to try. I was hoping there was a combination of buttons to hold down or press to re-enable the engine or ECU if that has been turned off. I have the smart key feature btw if that helps any.

After jumping the battery, I was able to start it again, so no engine shutdown of any kind. I let it run for a while and took it for a drive and turned it off to see it will start. No dice, it same thing, it won't even crank. So, I am going to replace the battery now. Sorry for the fire drill.
