Default Problems with e-brake

I'm doing a brake job on my car and I guess I was a little ignorant about the parking brake. I go at it with two M8 screws and pop of the rotor, with some resistance and I guess some parts of the parking brake fell off.

Does anyone have pictures of the assembly of this thing or where these parts go back?

The two screws are just the M8 ones used to pop off the rotor. The spring and button looking item are in question

That happened to me too because I forgot to release it (actually all 4 of my rotors were loose no bolt to extract needed, even on the severely rusted cheap aftermarket rears). The best thing for me was to look at the other side, despite finding a diagram online. Don't panic as I did, it all went back together. Just be patient with the hold down spring and cap, it gave me a really hard time trying to get the pin in from behind. I was questioning if it's even possible, and it is.....good luck.

Are the downward arrows on the second diagram indicating where you apply downward force I assume with a screwdriver?
