I am planning on attempting a DIY remote start on a 2005 ML. Anyone tackle this before? I have seen nice write ups on here for the 4th gen but nothing on the 3rd gen. I Got the MPC kit with the crimestopper module and Fortin bypass which claims to allow the use of the factory remote to start the car.

Any help with how to access the door lock/activation wires and ignition barrel harness will be much appreciated. Thanks!

I don't know about the 430 but I just installed an Evo One with the RF642W long range kit into the GS and it has full takeover. I saw the 430 listed in their site so it should be just as good. If you can try not to use those quick taps. I just spent days trying to figure out why my Evo would not program and it all came down to not having good connections. Plus the program guide had the incorrect procedure in their own site.
