When I am cruising my LS430 I hear a very high frequent noise. When i,m off the throttle it disappears and when I touch the throttle again, it comes back.
Its really not loud and it reminds me of my old Mercedes. The differential started to fall apart after 60k miles and it started exactly the same but that sound got louder and louder and this sound seems to be the same after many miles.

And its mostly noticable from 60mph
Does anyone have a clue?
Yes. It may be the sound coming from the power steering pump area.
The level of difficulty is the reason why I posted it here.
I have sound isolated all the trunk and back seats bottom + back + the doors with Silent Coat resonator + the Silent Coat foam etc. and I really believe this makes it a Bentley Killer (With the silence ofcourse)
Thats why I cant really believe that its the fuel pump but I never know for sure when I dont make a real diagnose. I should take out the back seat and make a testdrive with 2 people.
One more thing. Can It really be the pump when the sound its only noticeable from 60mh + and only when I toch the throttle? (or cruisecontrol)

The sound is btw continuously.
The fuel pump would whine continuously, regardless of speed and engine load, so perhaps the fuel pump is not the most likely candidate.. Power steering pump is a good thought, but you're stating the noise is definitely coming from the rear of the car?
I guess I'd be most suspect of something in the driveline, more than anything.
What about removing the rear tires, and putting it in gear and running the car at 60 mph or so to see if you can hear anything while it's off the ground? There would be no load on the drivetrain, but it may yield a result??

Good thinking. I was assuming the same thing on the pump. About driving the car with no wheels... Good idea as well but I think thats really scarry and risky....
Maybe I should run my car on the dyno. I can always acces a nice 4x4 dyno for free but I have never putted my cars on it because i'm quite OCD on my cars....

The Dyno would be a better option, but they can be inherently noisy and you may not hear what you're trying to hear.
As far as running the car on Jack Stands with the rear tires removed? No risk at all. Really no different than jacking the car up with the engine shut off. There's no drive to the front wheels, so it really can't go anywhere. Put a couple of chocks in front of the front tires and you'd be golden...

This may definitely produce results in diagnostics. I also want to add to makea short video from different angles and positions (especially from bottom rear and bottom front areas), so we can look at the next step.
