I am pretty positive that they are just stuck on with adhesive. Otherwise they would either have to drill a hole in the panel at the factory or have an entirely different die to stamp out a panel with a hole where it needs to be... which would be expensive when manufacturing the relatively few cars that actually had the sport suspension.

I seem to recall a similar thread. It said that the badges were eliminated for the 2006 year. Just to be clear, your 2006 may have the sport suspension but the badges were not placed on the outside of the car for that model year. I may be mistaken but that is my recollection.

While that could be, the 2006 LS 430 sales brochure has multiple photos of a model that displays sport suspension badging. If so, it wouldn't be the first time that sales literature didn't conform with actual production.

Having closely followed the market for more than 8 months, I don't recall seeing an '06 offered for sale with sport suspension badges.

This is really irritating to me. As someone who would be interested in buying an '06 strictly with sport suspension (should anything ever happen to my '04 with sport suspension... god forbid), it would make it really difficult to figure out which cars were even equipped with it. Yes, the first thing to check is for the 18" wheels and 245 tires, but again, those were optional on all suspension models. Without badging, it would be a pain in my butt having to figure out which ones have it and which ones don't. Shoot, even on all the other model years that do have the badging, so many owners and sells don't even know that sport suspension was 'a thing' on these cars, so they don't list it in the ad.

It's really not that hard to figure out. Take a 14mm wrench (or dial caliper) and put the open end around the rear sway bar. If it's a snug fit the car has Sport...

Yes, I understand it’s not that hard to figure out that way. My issue is that I’d have to see the car in person to know for sure instead of knowing for sure from just looking at pictures.
