Default 2013F-Sport suspension bits

Now that the F-Sport is being released, I wonder if Lexus will offer the suspension bits for sale separately like they do for the IS model?

I hunted around and the Sport Package struts and shocks are available from oem lexus parts dot com for $47.01 for the rear shocks and $171 for the front struts. They did not have a separate listing for the sport package for the springs or sway bars, although I thought those were allegedly upgraded.

This is of interest as I am hunting for a 2010-2011 RX350 with the sport package. It is like finding a needle in a haystack. Most dealers do not list the options and the national Lexus site has very limited search capabilities. I am now thinking to just get one with 19 inch wheels and later upgrade the struts & shocks with the sport package ones or hopefully the F-Sport stuff if and when it becomes avalaible.

My dealer had an RX350 with the sport package as a demo when I was looking back in '09. They're out there though I had to special order mine. Seems like a lot of trouble to upgrade. Why not just get the F-Sport?

I do not want to spend the extra $15,000 a new F-Sport would cost over a 2010 model. I have worked on my own cars for years and changing the struts, shocks, springs and sway bars would only take me a few hours to a day at most. Changing those parts would give me 90% of the improvement. I think the new lateral dampers probably do not make much difference and they could not be added. I am amazed that there are not even any aftermarket struts/shocks for this vehicle.

Having had a 2008 ES350 which has the same engine and transmission, which I loved, I did not think or know of trans issues with it in the RX. When I drove one I did not notice such delays shifting. Now my 2005 ES330 with the 5 speed automatic was the most dangerous POS transmission I ever owned with huge delays shifting that could get you killed on the highway merge. I traded it after 2 1/2 years. Going to drive the RX again, also the new Acura RDX and Murano. Did not like the BMW X3 interior and X5 is too wide and both are unreliable and the options add up fast.
