Default Headlight not projecting beam equally

Hello everyone, my first post so I hope you can help. My 2004 LS 430 has only 39,000 original miles in great shape BUT for a recent issue with my headlights. I noticed that the headlight beams on both sides are not projecting as far as they used to and at a much shorter range than normal. Nothing appears damaged to either headlights, etc., no fogging, no cracks. I would like to know if anyone else has ever experienced this problem with a Lexus, and if so, what might be the problem. Thank you.

what color is the actual light they could be hid bulbs thst are on there way out the door

Sounds like the headlight level sensor is either siezed or needs adjusted.

Good point... If the two head lights put out different amount of light (but are aimed properly), then the dimmer one is on its way out. Always replace both to ensure proper matching (brightness, color, intensity, etc.) Here is a link to a DIY head light replacement:

The lights seem to be a normal white light color -
