Unhappy Cosmetic ***** up on Nav System

tl:dr Used rubbing alcohol on dash and took off color, what do to fix?

I was using rubbing alcohol to get some stains out of the carpet in the back seat, and later used cotton swabs to clean the clips for the sun visors as they were sticking. But I stupidly used some rubbing alcohol and hit the nav system/dash right under the right side buttons and now it looks faded and was hit with sandpaper. So, now I can only play "All By Myself" by Eric Carmen since it's all my fault for messing up the nav/dash and I have to live with my mistakes.
Is there anyway to repair the scuff mark with a paint marker or do I gotta cough up the $$$$ to find a new nav head?

Check this out somewhere where it wont show. But I have had good luck using Amoral Dash cleaner when I accidentally "melted" plastic headlight covers. It will soften the plastic so DONT leave it on !! Just brush a damp cloth over the area and immediately wipe it off. Again, try this where it wont show FIRST !!

If its really bad you dont have to buy a new nav. You can buy a new plastic surround for the nav. I dont have the oem part number but they call it the nav bezel. I replaced mine years ago because the prevoius owner obviously wore rings on their fingers that chipped all paint around the bottom of the nav screen area. It drove me crazy so i replaced the part. The whole plastic part includes the 2 air cond vents as well because its all the same part. You have to take out nav screen and undo screws at the back for the plastic nav bezel to come off as it wont just pop off from the front. Part cost me about $200 i think but to me it was worth it! Search the forum for how to take out nav screen. If you are careful its not too hard with the right tools or perhaps just buy the part and let a dealer put it in for you if you arent confident to do it.

I bought a used plastic bezel around the nav screen a couple years ago in hopes of refinishing it to swap with my scratched up one. The one I bought was scratched up but it's been sitting in my garage gathering dust. Will sell if you're interested.
