Vibration in front door pockets from heavy bass in speaker
2005 LS w/ ML
When heavy bass I get a rattle from the door pockets, if you fold them open outwards, the rattle goes away.
Obviously driving around with the door pockets folded out isn't my preferred option.
Has anyone else experienced this, and been able to rectify?
Or is this due to the speaker's foam being worn out and causing the vibration?
The speaker seems fine otherwise.
Many thanks!

I had the same experience (cranking up Tattoo You and Some Girls will do that on certain tracks), but discovered I had a bottle of hand sanitizer in one of those pockets causing the noise. On my wife's car, there was a buzzing rattle that the dealer tried to find under warranty, and wrongly concluded it was the license plate. I found it to be the rear panoramic roof's surround, and so I cut tiny pieces of foam and inserted them to dampen the vibration, sound gone. Others on that forum had the same sound, but chose to live with it because they felt that inserting tiny foam strips somehow cheapened an otherwise luxurious vehicle. I'm thinking the same would work on the pocket doors of the LS430. I'm talking about the type of foam that would insulate the evaporator line from a basement and going to a central AC condenser. Just slit it into a tiny pieces. Just a thought as I've not tried it on the LS. Would it fall out when you open the pocket? Yes, but it could be so small such that maybe the vibration is eliminated....the slight tension may take away any looseness and sound....just a thought

I used round felt for cabinet doors and placed it behind the pockets. it helped stop the noise however, the window switches started to vibrate. I have not found a fix for that one yet....
