Hey y'all--

Wondering if the VSC is run by the ABS computer. Can't find a VSC-specific computer in the parts listings online.

The reason I'm wondering is I want to know if the VSC programming is different in Sport models vs regular. If the ABS runs the VSC, there is only one ABS computer part number so the answer is VSC must be the same in both.

Thinking about buying a non-sport and adding the sport struts/shock/springs and swaybar. Then all I'm missing is the bigger brakes.

Anybody know the scoop?

One would think so, in a BMW the module is physically attached to the abs/dsc pump, and the flavors of dsc are ON, partially off, and OFF. Do we even have the ability to disable it?

Is this procedure for real, on a GS? What were the engineers thinking, to do all that in 30 sec.?

As far as I what I've read, no.

The TC/VSC on my wife's RX allows a LOT more fun than my BMW 330, but as you said, the BMW is switchable...

 

The Vehicle Stability Control seems to be controlled by the Skid Control ECU. Happy reading...
