Question 01 LS430 - ECL code PO115 with Check VSC light

I have a 2001 LS430 with 94K miles (and love it).
The red triangle warning light is on, Check VSC is on and the Check Englne Light is on. The code reads PO115 which is for the Engine Coolant Sensor. The dealer wants $125 to diagnose the code. Is it most likely I just need to replace the Engine Coolant Sensor? The mechanic I went to didn't have any machine to hook up to the sensor, just said to change it (probably because that's all he could figure out to do). Should I just change it to avoid the extra diagnostic fee, and if so does it have to be with OEM part or what brand sensor is just as good?
Just had a new radiator put in a few days before the code appeared and the coolant was filled up.
Thanks for any help!!

P0115 can be triggered by any of the three areas:
- Open or short in ECT sensor circuit
- ECT sensor
- ECM

Your best bet is to replace the sensor.
