Replacing front door speakers in 2001 Lexus GS300. Speakers that say they are a direct replacement don't have the blue and yellow wire attachments and are slightly smaller than original speakers. Anybody find a good replacement?

 

Hello and welcome to Club Lexus bsid.. You really need to post in the GS300 forum, as this is the LS430 forum. Wire colors should not matter as long as you keep polarity correct. If you search on the GS300 forum, you may find someone who has experience with the GS audio and perhaps has posted a diagram.

Interesting that we've had a rash of new members lately that seem to land in the LS430 forum to post their 1st post, regardless is what model they own. Perhaps because we're the most patient forum with the most helpful members here on CL?? (patting self on back right now...)

That's a huge vote from tallcaguy since he is now the proud new owner of a low-mileage LS460.

 

I do enjoy the site. It's been a great resource. I admit I've test driven a couple of 460's (guilty look) but it's Father (the other Sacto guy) that actually bought one. Can he still log in or are his visiting rights revoked? Of course he's owned a 430 and it's still in the family so suggest we cut him some slack
