Change your engine mounts if you miss the new ls smoothness
Hi just wanted to add that my car had the low? Idle @450-500 rpm when hot with all accessories off in Drive and headlights off. Turning on air conditioning or head lights would raise the idle 200 rpm and all was smooth. This is all in (D) gear and stopped. I've seen other threads discussing this low idle and accompanying vibration and I thought it was odd. I cleaned the throttle body including the little idle holes, seafoamed the top end and ran high quality injector cleaner, added new plugs and it still did this. I ended keeping climate control on auto at all times to keep compressor running or left the parking lights on while driving during the day. I finally got tired of this and replaced the old engine and transmission mounts. Mind you the originals looked fine and had no obvious tear or leaks but the car is now F¥} ©®¢ smooth at all times no matter idle speed. I have a 2002 155k and I thought It was smooth before I did this? , change your engine and tranny mounts 110$x 2 plus 65$ for trans mount all original. Shop rate is 1.2 hrs per engine mount, trans is stupid easy so did it myself. Wow can't tell if the engine is even running cold hot start it doesn't matter.
Ok sorry for the long post but I saw similar message threads last year and it kept on bugging me.
Moral: Rubber gets old and compressed over time despite looking OK to the naked eye...

Just like the OEM LCA bushings, I got them $62 ea, list is $113, and they were as low as $50, then disappeared.

Looks like the one I got sold out but search ebay item number 122026978948 70$ shipped for tranny. Engine mounts look like 145$ a piece now. I have a feeling prices fluctuate with demand sorta like airfare. There are aftermarket suppliers Roca and DEA but I feel the OEM parts are worth the premium in this case

The cupholder is another example, list is $246, but I paid $132 and thought it was great...then it goes down to $107.....today it's $90? Someone even has a broken one listed for $100....

Yeah, don't post links to Amazon - I think it counts the clicks, this other time we were discussing axles or something in a similar thread, the price went up while the discussion was still going.

Yeah I stocked up on 2032 batteries when amazon dropped the price below $3. The majority of times (c'mon these are $7+ at walmart) they did not come in a retail package. Not counterfeit, because I think the legit batteries have a sticker going across the + side in the package). But 2X, they were counterfeit, taken from resellers' stock. I am glad walmart is beginning to flex. Because of them the $49 free shipping has dropped. But to see the price of a 4 pack of 2032's retail packaged go from $2.x to $6.xx, and then back, on amazon is a joke.
queue that kid in the Simpsons....HA HA!
edit I just got 2 brother label makers for $9.99 (these will usually sell for $30 up to $40), AND I typed bigthanks in the promo code and it took $8.63 off. I know Jeff wins in the end, but what the hey. Grabbed the rear brake sensor by Raybestos for $8.xx so that's free by the promo (if you return anything at all, you lose part of the promo, everyone does that now)...

I believe that, when you are price-shopping certain things at certain companies, the websites use cookies (and your IP address) to determine what your are wanting to buy and adjust the price accordingly. If there's a lot of demand for product XYZ or you keep checking the same thing over and over then the price of that product either becomes very rigid or even increases. I particularly believe this occurs when I'm pricing airline tickets for future travel. I make sure I only check once or twice and I also run my web browser incognito, make sure I'm not logged in to my Chrome account, purge any cookies and also check prices from different IP addresses (work, home, cell etc - anything that can help hide who I am). Don't know how much I can hide my identity but I'm gonna try!

I took my car in to a reputable and honest mechanic to replace the two motor mounts. He suggested that I not change them as he could detect no issues once he had the car on a lift.
So now I'm going to sell the two motor mounts.

Changing the motor mounts really was a game changer, you don't realize the difference until they've been swapped.
You would swear the car had been shut off even when it's running.
I only changed mine because it suddenly got bad when the AC was turned off, you could feel the steering wheel buzzing in your hand.
