Default Shift indicator plate cover.

Before I attack the chrome plastic? Shift plate cover with my trim removal tools, is there any screws from the under side requiring unfastening?

Mine has a bit of an issue with the chrome rippling a tad. Found the part... Not cheap but what is...

Thanks all

As I recall, it popped off easily (I replaced the cupholder)...it was the panel under it that did not come off as easily. But you shouldn't need to remove what's under the chrome....good luck!

The "cup holder" gave me pause as there is no cup holder associated with this part. It does appear to snap out/in.

What I mean is that in order to replace the cupholder, I removed that piece, the one under, the seat heater switch piece, etc.....the chrome piece comes out easily....zowey that thing lists for $85.63, about $60 on eBay....this is what I mean, Toyota is not necessarily cheaper than German cars....

Gotcha!
And thanks for the followup.

Yeah...About $65 with shipping. Really considered a flat black rattle can after a good sanding. Guess I'm addicted to Chrome. Bad habit.

What is with the zero power to lighters with the car ignition off? Never seen that nuance before. Read up on it somewhere here and could not believe it until confirmed. Strange quirk...

Actually, I'm used to that....only my wife's GM SUV has power at all times.....what I'm not used to, is that say we shut the car off, when getting gas here in NJ/full serve.....not 100% sure but if long enough, I don't think the windows work in the accessory position (could be wrong). My ash tray 12V was blown when I got the car, but I replaced the fuse on the pass. side panel and it's been good ever since. I don't blame you for replacing the bezel, just that it seems pricey at the list price. My buddy talked me into replacing the cupholder, I paid $132, and saw it had dropped to $108, and went back up....DOH!!
