Default VSC, check engine light and red arrow on

So this morning on my way to work the red triangle with the exclamation point flashed a few times then the check engine light and VSC light came on and the traction control is not working. The red triangle with the exclamation point flash on and off a couple of times intermittently over the last couple of days I assume that I possibly have a burned-out bulb somewhere which I do not. The weather is very cold here in his head quite a bit over the past few days so the tractioncontrolnot working is it a big concern to me. Everything else seems fine. I have read that the gas cap being defective can cause this condition. I have not had the gas cap off of the vehicle though in the past two or three hundred miles however the car is low on gas the low fuel light is not on yet but it probably wouldn't take much for to come on I was going to put gas in it this morning on the way to work but the gas station his past work and I didn't want to risk it with the roads being bad and traction control not working. Any suggestions on what could be causing this condition

I had my new snow tires installed on the 2001 on Wednesday morning, and when I picked up the car, while backing out of the parking spot, the VSC light comes on, VSC Off warning sounds and the red triangle rears it's head.
So, I walked back into the shop and they seemed to think the new tires were messing with the wheel speed sensors. "Drive it for a few miles and it should reset itself." they tell me...
I reluctantly leave and start driving home, and never get the system to reset, so after getting back home, I put my code reader on the car and reset the system that way.

It's been fine since. I can only assume in my case the new tires did in fact confuse the speed sensors, but I haven't experienced that before...

So, long story longer, did you perchance have tires replaced on the vehicle??

Funny you say that, I did and I changed the size to one size smaller so I could use a thinner tire, it started doing this about two days after I had them put on but the vsc did not start acting up until today, the red triangle would come on for about 10 seconds everytime I started driving though.

Do you, by chance, remember which DTC caused the VSC warning?

P0430 is an exhaust leak or oxygen sensor code.

Are there common areas on these cars that develop exhaust leaks?

The "Y" pipe is the only "common area" that may develop a leak.

I never saw a code. As soon as I attached the scanner to the port, and turned the key on, it went into a "VSC Test" and when I ran the codes, there were none stored or pending, so it must have reset during the initial test.
