Default Side mirror glass replacement cost

Well I walked out to my LS430 and the drivers side mirror glass was broken. I think someone backed into it or hit it with an object. Does anyone know where I can find a replacement side mirror glass? I don't want to replace the whole mirror or put in an insurance claim. Thanks for any help.

You can get just the glass from the dealer, but it's $300+ because of the heater and electrochromic function. Used mirror assemblies on eBay are less than that.

I needed the mirror glass replaced on an old Buick. the dealer wanted $500 to replace the whole thing including painting. no way. The local glass company replaced the glass for $35. Crafton Glass, Lubbock Texas.

EBAY will be your friend in this case. Theres a ton of them on there and can be had cheap if its just the glass you need.

i scored a brand new in Lexus box complete mirror assembly for around 300.00 when the dealer want over 500.00

My understanding is that comp would cover it and it would not be held against you. Though I have never had a claim myself to prove that to be fact.

I was thinking the same thing. Although, I think I will just need to cover my deductible. The cheapest I found the factory glass was $110 on eBay. The plastic part of the mirror is still in good condition. I will call my agent today. Thanks!

You can get glass with heating from eBay, never found one with the additional electrochromatic function other than from dealer if you want that feature. I changed mine with convex plus blind spot from eBay and could not be happier with the blind spot eradication.
